In the Netherlands alone, there are more than 3 million people with a (moderate) disability. For example, they may have impaired vision, face mobility challenges, or have low literacy skills. If you do not take this into account when designing your product or service, you will exclude a large group of people.

Our Accessibility training course will get you off to a flying start. In just one day, we’ll teach you how to design in an accessible and inclusive way.

What to expect from the accessibility training

Using real-life examples and your own challenges, you’ll learn what digital accessibility entails, what the WCAG guidelines are and how to ensure your digital product(s) comply with them. We tailor the training to your organisation’s needs and level of knowledge. Essentially, we’ll cover the following steps:

  • A general introduction. What is digital accessibility? Why is it important, and which user groups are there?
  • How do these different target groups use digital products, and what challenges do they face?
  • Introduction to WCAG 2.1 & 2.2: what are the principles and guidelines, and how do you apply them?
  • How do you design an accessible digital product? And how can you check for accessibility?
  • Where do you incorporate accessibility into your design and development process?

A few weeks or months after the training, we’ll carry out a follow-up. We’ll check how things are going and whether you’re still encountering any issues.

You’ll be trained by an expert

The training is delivered by one of our seasoned designers. They are well versed in the theory of digital accessibility, as well as all the practical details and challenges.
