Research goes beyond UX research. Do you want to learn more about the context and needs of your target audience? Then you should carry out exploratory research. Do you want to test a new product? Then you should carry out a concept test.
Which UX research method is best suited to my website or app?
That depends on what you want to find out. Do you want to see where users get stuck? In that case, a UX test is often the best option. Do you want to quickly identify areas for improvement in an existing design or product, and are you on a tight budget? Then an expert review is a better fit. And do you want to gather choices, preferences or feedback from a larger group? Then a Design Survey is useful. We always choose the method that best suits your question, the development stage and your objective.
Why invest in UX research before you start designing or developing?
Because you make better decisions based on insight rather than assumptions. UX Research reveals early on what users need, where they get stuck, and what does and doesn’t work. This helps you avoid making the wrong choices and saves you time and money during the development phase.
How does UX research help to improve conversion rates and user-friendliness?
UX Research reveals where users drop out, have doubts or get stuck. With these insights, you can improve flows, content and interaction in the right places. This results in a more user-friendly product and increases the likelihood of higher conversion rates.
Can you bring my (potential) target audience to the table?
If your target audience is ‘people who always wear red socks on Tuesday afternoons and earn more than a million a year’, it’s going to be tricky. But in many other cases, our sister company Happy Labs knows exactly how to bring the right people to the table.
