The Robot is a modest hero. But make no mistake: this silent superpower takes care of a large part of the digital housekeeping behind the scenes. Major tasks such as updates, filters, profiles, algorithms and payment transactions. But also small things with a big impact: such as automatically filling in your address details. No product or service can do without The Robot. Its ®evolution continues apace.

A connected AI machine can now actually convert brain activity into the right images: so it’s already possible to read someone’s thoughts. And this is only the beginning. The ethical and philosophical questions raised by these developments will be answered in the future. And no one is ruling out dystopian scenarios.

Superpowers

  • Lightning-fast and tireless.
  • Takes an unprecedented amount of work off the hands of businesses, services and end-users: everything and everyone.
  • The silent superpower: you can’t see it, but it takes care of everything in the background.

Kryptonite

  • Carries out every task to the letter: so always check and double-check that the details you give it are correct.
  • Everything it finds for you is based on existing information: nothing The Robot produces is a new discovery.
  • The future could be dystopian: what are the consequences of AI for humanity?

The Robot in practice

From autocorrect to Google Home, Philips Hue, chatbots and all other forms of artificial intelligence. You could even regard ChatGPT and Midjourney as the offspring of The Butler and The Robot.

Archenemy

None: everyone needs it desperately, so you better keep The Robot on your side.

Ally

The Robot and The Butler are twin brothers who, at first glance, you’d consider to be identical. But as soon as you start talking to them, you notice the difference. For instance, the neuro-atypical Robot doesn’t offer choices, and he doesn’t think along with you to come up with the most suitable suggestion, unlike his brother.

Summary

The Robot made the internet what it is today and keeps the digital world running. He’s so indispensable to the world that we’re globally addicted to him.
