In 2000, we founded Valsplat with a mission: to make the digital world more human. That is now more important than ever: digitalisation is advancing at breakneck speed, and not everyone can keep up. We believe that technology can accelerate positive change, if used wisely. That is why we design with vision: thoughtfully, responsibly and with lasting value for people, organisations and society.

Our story began in 2000 (actually, even earlier)
From audio equipment to computers: we always wanted to know how things worked. We tinkered, programmed and used them to create beats and artwork. At secondary school, Joris and Nils discovered their shared passion for technology and creativity.
Weg van tech
To mark our 25th anniversary, we wrote Weg van tech (which means both ‘the road of technology’ and ‘away from technology’). A book about our quest for the human standard in a digital world. Through 18 interviews with leaders, scientists, artists, entrepreneurs and ordinary Dutch people, we explore how technology can once again serve humanity.
